Death was a frightening prospect for me…then, after participating in a group Life Reflections session, I gained a new perspective. The workshop opened up a bright window. I will not be simply leaving my loved ones but leaving to them my legacy. The journey of what is my life is filled with lessons, insights and wonderful memories that, without having articulated and documented, would have disappeared along with me – never to be shared with the people that mean the most to me.
The program itself was very well organized to help us through this sometimes difficult process. However what was most valuable was Robin’s compassion, tremendous empathy and ability to make the group feel safe. None of us could have done it without her. Thanks Robin

On Friday, November 27th, Fati Madougou, the wife of the former Mayor of Libore, Amadou Madougou, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. I met Fati in Niger in 2007, when I went for my first visit in May of that year. She couldn’t speak a word of English and I could barely say anything in French. But that is when our special friendship was forged. And in my subsequent 7 visits to Niger over the last 13 years, we met each time in her home or my hotel.
